Crispy Cheese Bites

    There’s something undeniably satisfying about a snack that’s crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. These Crispy Cheese Bites are perfect for those moments when you want something quick, cheesy, and comforting.

    I first made them on a quiet evening, craving a little indulgence. I had some cheese, a few pantry staples, and decided to experiment. The result was golden, crunchy bites with a soft, melty center — so addictive that I had to make a second batch immediately.


    Ingredients

    • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    • ½ cup breadcrumbs
    • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
    • ½ teaspoon paprika
    • Salt and pepper, to taste
    • 1 egg, beaten
    • Oil for frying

    Optional: a pinch of chili flakes for a little heat or a sprinkle of parmesan for extra flavor.


    Instructions

    1. Prepare the cheese mixture.
    In a bowl, combine shredded mozzarella with half the breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

    2. Shape the bites.
    Take small portions of the mixture and form them into bite-sized balls. Roll each ball lightly in the remaining breadcrumbs.

    3. Fry the bites.
    Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the cheese bites in batches for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

    4. Serve hot.
    These are best enjoyed immediately while the cheese is still gooey inside.

    • For a healthier version, bake them at 400°F (200°C) for 8–10 minutes instead of frying.
    • Mix in chopped herbs like parsley or chives for extra flavor.
    • Use different cheeses such as cheddar or gouda for variety.
